After a semi-drunken marathon Sex and the City viewing, a friend of mine and I were discussing food and how great it was. Nursing a bruised ego from a recent break up, I was looking for solace in a 24 oz Cosmopolitan and kept coming up with nothing. Complaining to my friend that the numbness of Vodka wasn’t having quite the emotional effect I was hoping for, she made a statement that changed my life forever….Vodka is letting you down, but food loves you back!!

Now, it may sound like I have an unhealhty relationship from food and maybe I do. All I know is that the acts of preparing, cooking, baking and coming out with the finished product is therapeutic in it’s own way. I love how kneading dough releases tension, carefully decorating a cake takes up a vast amount of my concentration and even just the simple mixing of ingredients lightens my mood. Most of all, I love the sense of accomplishment I feel when something turns out well.

This blog is dedicated to making food, all food, and hopefully having that food turn out well. Enjoy!</text>
